Songs to better yourself with

As old man 2003 wheezes his last dying breath and baby 2004 makes the final adjustments to his diaper and sash, I’ve cranked out a “best of” list for 2003. It’s a little summer-centric, but that’s what I remember about the year, and what can you do? I’m currently making copies for everyone I love even a little. Nathan’s CD burner is a 40x, a speed so fast as to be ludicrous – except when your roommate needs to make around twenty copies of a disc in short order. If you want a copy and don’t have one by the first week of school, tell me and we’ll make it right.

This site is almost one year old. Can you believe it? I almost can’t. Cross your fingers and hope that everything still works right when the clock strikes midnight – keep in my mind that I wrote this software (the one that displays the page, does searches, etc) myself, and there’s no guarantee that it will. I believe testing is for weaklings – I have total confidence in my programming ability – but more often than not that belief kicks me where it counts.

It’s almost 9, and I haven’t gotten an angry call from Marta or one of her constituents yet regarding her party, which means that either no one has come or they’ve forgotten me. Given what I know about my girlfriend and the sort of planning she invested in this little soiree, I’m guessing it’s the former. Lisa’s parents are completely retarded and wouldn’t let her drive to Seattle (the roads aren’t dangerous until midnight, folks), so Erin hassled her mom for a ride and is currently en route. I really hope we don’t bore the hell out of her.
