Looking better

My column today ran with three more typos than it had when I submitted it. I hope they were a product of my lateness and aren’t a sign of things to come.

I feel better than yesterday, not on account of the Daily’s lax editing standards, but because my two other English classes are both awesome. Both take a somewhat cultural studies approach to evaluating literature, which is something I’ve always appreciated. My senior seminar is held in a coffin-like room barely big enough to accommodate the twelve students somewhere in the basement of Savery — three out of four of my classes this quarter are in Savery — and the Contemporary Novel class is in the same room I had for Rise of the Novel last quarter. I look forward to both.

Some would accuse me of overloading my schedule, but I think I can handle it. The novel class will be rigorous, but I survived last quarter alright and the reading list there was even longer. I told Nathan that I would drop the class, reducing myself to a carefree 13 credits, unless there was a cute girl in it. There’s two cute girls, a blonde and a brunette. So for now, it stays.
