Good things as of now

1. Huge clutches of purple wildflowers that are, for some reason, growing in my patio area. I have no idea where they came from — I can’t remember them growing there ever before. But they are pretty.

2. Two final papers down, one to go. Turning in yesterday’s, I ran to Padelford after printing it four minutes before deadline and handed it to my prof as she was heading out the door of her office. She is amused by my shenanigans, so I shouted, “Bam! Ten points for style!” The paper is titled “Dystopia and the Politics of Eco-terrorism.”

3. The bathroom is sparkling clean, as it hasn’t been in months. I got the cleaning bug this morning, and maybe the fumes from the cleaning products got me high because I didn’t come up for air until the entire bathroom was transfigured.

4. My newly rearranged keyboard, which reads as follows:

Z A C H W Q P E R L
 D U B F X M J O Y
  G I S T N K V

For those of you who aren’t good with technology, only the labels on each key has changed (e.g.: hitting Z types a Q), so touch-typers are unaffected while everyone else is completely paralyzed. The only keys which are now correctly labeled are F and J, since they have little nubs on them to help me feel that I’m on the home row. Berkowitz came by and saw me in the middle of this project, and told me that one of his co-workers just bought a completely blank keyboard. I guess I’m not the only one to have thought of this.

5. I get to attend the English graduation ceremony tomorrow afternoon even though I didn’t RSVP by the cut-off. Yes! The only question is whether I wear my robe and look like a dork. I spent a lot of money on that thing, so I feel like I should get some uses out of it.
